現在ソウル市内では犬の屠殺は違法です。

「たとえソウル市内から犬屠殺業を禁止しても、奴らは地方に移り住み犬屠殺業を再開するだけの話」とブーイングが。

ソウル当局は、2022年1月24日、「ソウル市議会議員は『犬肉消費禁止への長期計画』を作成し、実行を促す条例法案を市長に提出した」と述べた。
「動物を家族の一員として迎える慣習はすでに世界的動向となっている」
聯合ニュースは、韓国与党の民主党評議員であるヤン・ミンギュ氏の言葉を引用。
ヤン氏は、「国の首都は、動物福祉の向上をはかり問題啓発に取り組むべきだ」と語った。
2020年の時点で韓国全土で、合計638万世帯（27.7パーセント）が動物を家族として迎えています。

A bill proposed by the Seoul Metropolitan Council to ban the consumption of dog meat
Members of the Seoul City Council have proposed a bill to ban the mayor from consuming dog meat and put it into action, officials said Monday. “The culture of thinking of pets as a member of the family is already a global trend,” Yonhap News Agency urged Yang Min-gyu, a councilor of the ruling Democratic Party of South Korea.
According to Mr. Yang, a total of 6.38 million households (27.7%) had pets nationwide as of 2020, citing the date of the Ministry of Agriculture. The bill is likely to be voted on by the Seoul Metropolitan Council next month.
